Let go of what weighs you down. Make space for what matters.

Therapy for when you want to move forward but aren’t sure how.

Thoughts spinning, emotions out of control, life feeling heavy? Together we’ll sort through the clutter and make space for clarity and calm.

Let’s start with a conversation.

Maybe you’re stuck in loops of overthinking, always “on,” or feeling shut down and disconnected. You’re holding it together for everyone else, but inside, it feels like a struggle. Maybe something hard happened, or maybe life has just felt overwhelming for a long time. You’re tired of carrying it all. If any of that sounds familiar, you’re in the right place.

About Me

I’m Melanie, a Registered Clinical Counsellor based in South Surrey, BC. My counselling approach is collaborative and respectful of your pace. We’ll look at what’s getting in the way, explore your history, gain insights and work toward a steadier, more connected version of you.

If you’re craving a deeper understanding and getting down to the root of your concerns, let’s work together to make sense of it all. Your past does not have to define your future.

My Approach to Therapy

Counselling with me is straightforward, down-to-earth, and focused on what matters most to you. I draw from evidence-based approaches to help with anxiety, OCD, trauma, and stress. You won’t find a one-size-fits-all approach here—we’ll tailor your therapy to what works best for you and your specific goals.

A few of the areas I specialize in

  • Ongoing stress and anxiety can leave you feeling on edge, drained, or stuck in overthinking. I help clients untangle these patterns, manage the intensity, and find ways to feel calmer, more grounded, and in control of day-to-day life.

  • Obsessive-Compulsive tendencies can show up as repetitive or unwanted thoughts, doubts, or urges, and behaviors or mental rituals aimed at easing the distress. I help clients understand these patterns and reduce their grip on daily life

  • Struggling to speak up, set limits, or feel truly seen in your relationships — romantic, familial, or otherwise.

  • That relentless inner voice questioning your worth, your decisions, your feelingsor whether you’re “doing enough”

  • Difficult life experiences can leave a lasting mark, making it harder to feel calm, connected, or in control. I work with clients to process these experiences, ease their intensity, and build a greater sense of calm and safety in daily life.

Frequently asked questions

  • A: The first session is a chance to get to know each other. I’ll ask a few questions to learn what’s bringing you in and what support might look like. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as feels right. We will spend a few minutes disussing your goals and outline a plan to achieve them.

  • A: I work with clients weekly, typically for 6 months or more, until goals are achieved.

  • A: You don’t need to have a big crisis to start. Therapy is a place to sort through what’s been weighing on you, whether it’s overwhelming emotions, negative thoughts, relationship concerns, intrusive thoughts or life’s pressures. We’ll go at a pace that feels right for you, and you’ll have a say in what we focus on from the very first session.
